Organisational Design Specialist (Senior Consultant) – People Consulting

The opportunity

As an Organisational Design Specialist at Senior Consultant level within People Consulting, you will support the delivery of workforce strategy and organisation design engagements across a diverse client base.

Working collaboratively with EY colleagues and clients, you will apply structured thinking, data‑driven insights and consulting judgement to help organisations solve complex challenges and design for the future. This role offers strong exposure to varied client work, opportunities to build depth in organisation design, and a clear pathway for ongoing development at EY.

This role is based in Boorloo – Perth. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly, including reduced hours. We encourage you to speak with us about options that support your individual circumstances.

Your key responsibilities

  • Delivering client projects:
    Collaborate with EY colleagues and clients to shape and deliver defined project outcomes, contributing to high‑quality, timely delivery across workforce strategy and organisation design engagements.
  • Supporting clients to solve their challenges:
    Analyse workforce and business data to generate clear insights and practical recommendations. Build trusted client relationships and support clients through structured problem‑solving and decision‑making.
  • Solution design and development:
    Contribute to the end‑to‑end development of solutions and recommendations, applying structured thinking to balance client requirements with practical, implementable outcomes.
  • Contributing to business development:
    Proactively identify and support opportunities to extend EY’s impact with clients, contributing to proposals, insights and broader practice initiatives.
  • Team culture and collaboration:
    Work effectively within diverse, high‑performing teams, contributing to a positive, inclusive and high‑engagement team culture.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Experience in workforce strategy and/or organisational design, ideally in consulting or complex organisational environments
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with confidence working with data to inform insights and recommendations
  • Well‑developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and credibly
  • A collaborative, delivery‑focused mindset and interest in building depth as a consultant
  • Motivation to continue learning, growing and shaping your career at EY
