The opportunity
At EY‑Parthenon, we bring together strategy, transactions, tax and corporate finance to help organisations make better investment decisions and deliver value that stands up in the real world. Backed by EY’s global scale and deep sector expertise, our teams advise private equity investors, corporates and founders across the full deal lifecycle – from origination through to value creation and exit.
Our Financial Due Diligence team works at the heart of complex transactions, supporting domestic and cross‑border deals across a broad range of sectors. With an investor mindset, advanced analytics and close collaboration with strategy, tax and M&A teams, we deliver insights that directly shape transaction outcomes.
As a Senior Consultant or Manager, you’ll play a hands‑on role in high‑profile buy‑side and sell‑side engagements, working closely with private equity firms, corporates and entrepreneurs. You’ll be trusted to own key workstreams, engage directly with clients, and help develop junior team members, while continuing to build your technical depth and commercial judgement.
This is a hybrid role based in Boorloo (Perth), offering exposure to national and international transactions while being part of a close‑knit local team.
Your key responsibilities
Depending on your level and experience, you will:
- Lead or support financial due diligence engagements for acquisitions, disposals and capital raisings by private equity investors and strategic buyers
- Analyse historical and forecast financial performance, including quality of earnings, net debt, working capital and cash flow trends
- Review accounting records and data, assess underlying business performance and identify key value drivers and deal risks
- Conduct management interviews and challenge assumptions underpinning forecast performance
- Prepare and review clear, commercial due diligence reports that inform purchase price, deal structuring and negotiation
- Manage information flows, timetables and stakeholders across multiple workstreams
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across strategy, tax, M&A, modelling and sector teams to deliver integrated transaction advice
- Support business development activities, including proposals, pitch materials and building trusted client relationships
- For Managers: coach and develop junior team members, take ownership of engagement delivery, and contribute to the growth of the Perth and national practice
