What’s in it for you?
We are looking for someone with several years’ experience in a senior compliance role, responsible for operating a compliance management framework, and ideally designing and implementing one. This should include engaging with senior ELT to drive accountability for compliance, reporting to the board on compliance performance, and providing advice to the business on how to manage their compliance obligations. This should have been done outside of financial services in an operational environment, in a sector with a relatively complex regulatory environment.
This role could be based anywhere on the east coast and, they can drive growth across the region.
The role will play a key part in scoping, execution and delivery of a wide range of risk and compliance advisory projects. You’ll be consulting with clients across the three lines of defence on how best to establish and improve governance, compliance, risk management and internal control frameworks. Your experience will include:
- You will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the identification and conversion of opportunities associated with designing, implementing and operating risk and compliance frameworks
- You will oversee a portfolio of client engagements and manage Enterprise Risk professionals in the delivery of risk, and compliance advisory engagements
- You will be responsible for the development of junior Enterprise Risk staff through ‘on-the-job’ training and facilitation of relevant training programs
- Leading and guiding the team and client to create and deliver compliance and risk engagements, and to accomplishing engagement objectives and strategies which comply with professional standards
- Nurturing client relationships to achieve service expectations, deliverables and outcomes
- Apply your experience in designing, implementing and operating compliance management frameworks to client projects through leading and providing inputs into projects to help clients effectively manage their compliance obligations
What we’re looking for
- A mature and pragmatic approach, with experience not only building risk and compliance frameworks but also embedding them in the business
- A detail oriented individual, happy to work across the high level, whilst being hands on in the detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong stakeholder skills, with a willingness to learn and take stakeholders along the journey
- Enjoys fast paced change and ideally has worked in early/mid stage high growth businesses with a global footprint
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A Bachelor or Master’s degree qualification in finance, business, accounting or related discipline
- Professional accreditations and qualifications will also be considered favourably (CPA, CISA, CA, CIA, CISM, CISSP, CBCP, CIPP)
