Senior Consultant or Manager - Climate Change and Sustainability

The opportunity

As our Senior Consultant or Manager you’ll be part of the EY Climate Change and Sustainability Services team is the biggest sustainability consulting team in Oceania. Our multidisciplinary teams help companies understand the risks and opportunities arising from climate change and sustainability issues, advising a large proportion of the ASX 200 to help them drive performance beyond their bottom line.

This role is based inbased in Meanjin – Brisbane. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team across a range of industries, assisting organisations on how they manage and report on a broad range of sustainability and climate related risks and impacts
• Contribute to strategy, solutions, methodologies, analytical frameworks and tools to help clients succeed and navigate complex regulatory environments and manage stakeholder expectations
• Assist clients to develop and implement sustainability strategies, develop targets, and implement plans to enhance sustainability value for a broad range of sustainability topics, including diversity, waste, modern slavery and environmental impacts

What we look for

Ideally, you’ll have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

• Professional services/consulting experience
• Tertiary qualification, such as in engineering, maths or physics
• Experience in climate change services (either in professional services, industry or government)
• Working knowledge of the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act, and associated legislation (Safeguard Mechanism, Renewable Energy Target)
