We are currently recruiting a Senior HR Advisor, to join our People and Safety division for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. This role can be based anywhere within Essential Energy’s operational footprint throughout NSW.
About the role
Reporting to the HR Services Manager, you will work closely with key stakeholder groups and leaders across the business to support our organisational strategy.
The Senior HR Advisor – Position Description Writer and Evaluator will deliver a range of job analysis, position description writing and job evaluation services, advice and products to effectively support workforce design and change services and other business activities as required.
The role provides specialist advice and develops processes, tools and resources to ensure position description and job evaluation governance and quality standards are established and maintained.
This role involves collaborating with other departments, providing guidance, and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Key responsibilities;
- Review and update position descriptions to support business requirements
- Develop comprehensive position descriptions that accurately describe roles requirements and responsibilities
- Evaluate position descriptions using a range of methodologies to ensure appropriate and consistent remuneration
- Design and implement a variety of tools and resources, including standard position descriptions and templates, to facilitate the efficient process of job design
- Provide specialist advice to managers and supervisors to help them create effective position descriptions for their teams
- Provide high level support to corporate program implementation on behalf of, or in consultation with the HR Business Partners to ensure consistency across the business and alignment to organisational requirements
- Analyse, identify and report on trends and improvement opportunities and provide advice, recommendations and strategies to manage and optimise the employee experience
- Manage escalated and complex queries from the HR Services Desk ensuring accurate and timely advice across the business
- Provide support in the development of HR Services objectives, policies and procedures and systems.
About You
- Professional experience in a generalist or specialised Human Resources role
- Experience in job analysis and job evaluation of Position Descriptions
- Experience dealing with and influencing senior internal stakeholders
- High level attention to detail with creative writing skills
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills to solve complex matters
- Proficient in Excel
- Strong relationship management and communication skills with the ability to liaise, negotiate, influence and work collaboratively with customer and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
Advanced Diploma in Management (Human Resources) or similar qualification and/or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
