About the role

As the System Control Technical Officer, you will be responsible for the monitoring, actioning, resourcing and communication for all Single Premise and High Voltage Network Incidents, along with the management of the Switching Request Register (SRR), creating Switching Instructions, supporting the System Controller in all of the above and any administrative duties.

A comprehensive training environment is provided for suitably qualified and successful applicants. Study assistance is available for those wishing to gain an Advanced Diploma of Applied Electrical Engineering (Power Systems).

About You

The successful applicant will be self-driven with a proven ability to work in a challenging atmosphere and enjoy interaction within a team environment. In addition, you will have strong computer skills, hold relevant electrical qualifications and have experience in interpreting complex electrical networks or schematics with knowledge of network operating practices. A trade certificate in Power Systems would be advantageous.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma in Power Systems with a focus in System Operations or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and relevant qualifications
  • Driver’s Licence
  • Attainment and ongoing successful maintenance of all regulatory, industry and business required licences, authorisations and other such certificates deemed necessary for the role

Desired

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
  • Qualifies Supervisors Certificate
  • Certificate III ESITDR – Distribution
  • Substation entry Authorisation knowledge
