We are currently recruiting for a Physical Security Coordinator to commence in our Governance and Corporate Services Division on 15 January 2024.
About the role
The role of the Physical Security Coordinator entails overseeing the implementation of our physical security protocols and practices. This includes ensuring that both our staff and contractors are well-equipped and informed to safeguard people, sensitive information, and vital infrastructure, all in alignment with our strategic business goals.
As part of this, the Physical Security Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day execution and diligent monitoring of our security management systems. This adherence to Essential Energy's Physical Security policies and procedures ensures that our physical security measures remain highly effective, consistent, safe, and executed with professionalism.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history in a similar security role within a large corporate organisation, bringing with them a wealth of experience. They should possess current knowledge of regulatory and statutory requirements in the security industry and be well-versed in the general procedural demands associated with security contracts. Along with your technical skills, experience in liaising with security contractors, stakeholders, and customers is crucial. In addition, you will have:
- A proven track record of reviewing and effectively implementing security procedures and processes.
- Robust investigative and auditing skills, coupled with the ability to analyse credible information, compile comprehensive reports, and implement actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency in data management.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as the role requires effective liaison, negotiation, and influence to achieve business objectives.
- Skilled at building and sustaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and have a proven track record of handling security and emergency management matters.
- Proficiency in computer operations and relevant business systems, particularly Microsoft Applications.
- Knowledge and understanding of Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
- Positive mindset, self-motivated and proactively contribute to support Essential Energy in achieving our objectives and goals.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma of Security Risk Management or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
Desirable:
- NSW Drivers Licence
- White Card Certification
- Class II NSW Security Licence, or ability to obtain
