About the role
Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Manager, as the Category Manager, Digital Services, you will provide support, guidance, and direction in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) categories under management, including supply market management and development, strategic planning and execution, supplier engagement, and contract and risk management activities to meet business needs.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, deliver category plans and sourcing strategies based on research and analysis to optimise value for money outcomes and meet stakeholder needs and expectations
- Identify and manage commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, ethical and supply chain risks
- Provide expert advice to, and support key stakeholders on all aspects of procurement processes and the procurement category
- Develop and implement category management plans to meet business needs, enhance stakeholder engagement, and motivate providers to optimise business outcomes
- Develop and maintain strategic networks relationships with strategic suppliers to identify areas of improvement and to drive innovative solutions
About You
You will have demonstrated experience in a similar role in a commercial contract management environment and will be experienced in the creation and development of Category Management frameworks, strategies and plans. More specifically;
- Experience in overseeing and leading activities related to sourcing activities and the development of category management plans
- Strong experience in managing commercial relationships and coordinating performance management
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of purchasing processes
- Experience in driving cost savings with the ability to identify and mitigate risk
- Experience in the negotiation of supply agreements
- Experience in Oracle ERP will be highly regarded
Required Qualification
- Degree in Business Management, Commerce, Procurement and Logistics or Supply Chain or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
