About the role
We are currently recruiting for an Assessor Trainer to join our People & Safety team. The preferred location is Parkes, however applicants wishing to work in Tamworth, Goulburn, Wagga Wagga and Port Macquarie will also be considered.
As an Assessor Trainer you will be responsible for the delivery of training and assessment required by the network business and external customers. The primary responsibility of the role will be in support of Essential Energy’s apprentice and regulatory compliance programs.
Additional responsibilities include delivering high quality training and assessment in the classroom and workplace environments, post-training Verification of Competency (VOCs) and the reporting of outcomes. In line with, training plans, relevant service level agreements, organisational training matrices, national training packages or training outcomes required by the network business.
Furthermore, you will contribute to the ongoing development of training/assessment resources, programming of work and compliance with Registered Training Organisation (RTO) requirements in line with ASQA (SNRs).
About You
Ideally you will be an outgoing, people focused and dynamic individual who is passionate about the industry. You are invested in best practice and developing Essential Energy’s future and current people and practices.
You will need an understanding of Australian Skills Authority (ASQA), State Training Services, Vocational Education and Training (VET) contractual RTO/training function and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Required
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
- Certificate III ESI - Distribution, Cable Jointing or Electrotechnology qualification
- Drivers licence
- Work Cover NSW Construction Induction Certificate
- Senior First Aid.
Desirable
- Cert IV in Frontline Management or equivalent
- EWP
- Dogging
- Forklift
- Relevant switching authorisations as required for delivery/assessment
- Relevant specialist / SME qualifications.
