About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Health and Injury Management Officer to join our dynamic People and Safety Division. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring injured workers receive timely payments and navigate the return-to-work process effectively. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of strategic health and wellbeing programs for our valued employees.
This role will be based within the Essential Energy footprint with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage workers' compensation payments and ensure compliance with state laws and company policies
- Maintain accurate reimbursement schedules and process medical accounts for workers' compensation and early intervention programs
- Oversee the administration of injury management case files, ensuring adherence to notification procedures and return-to-work plans
- Collaborate with specialists and coordinators for efficient claims management
- Generate monthly reports on workers' compensation activity and assist in developing new systems for efficiency
- Assist in program implementation and provide support to the Health and Wellbeing team
About You
- Experience in a similar role
- Understanding of workers' compensation legislation, policies, and procedures
- Experience in payroll management
- Experience in generating reports and presenting statistical data effectively
- Demonstrated ability to implement and coordinate health and wellbeing programs
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent time management and prioritisation abilities
- Adaptable team player, capable of working independently with sound judgment and sensitivity
Required Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Business or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications
- Return to Work Coordinator – SIRA NSW Approved course
- Driver’s Licence
Desirable:
- Cert IV Workplace Training and Assessment
- First Aid certificate
