An apprenticeship is a great way to kick start your career. With combined formal learning and on-the-job training, your journey will be supported by a great crew and professional training team. You will continue to grow and develop at Essential Energy and have fantastic career pathway options and opportunities.
Apprenticeships
All apprenticeship roles are four-year programs that combine structured nationally recognised training with on-the-job experience.
- Powerline Workers: Are responsible for building and maintaining the poles and wires that deliver electricity to our customers.
- Cable Jointers: Are responsible for the construction, installation and maintenance of underground cables and associated electrical apparatus that delivers electricity to our customers.
- Zone Substation Electrical Technicians: Are responsible for the safe and reliable operation of high voltage switchgear, transformers and associated electrical circuits.
