About the role
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our PMO team and play a key role in delivering high-level commercial business intelligence and strategic advice. This position supports performance management, business development, and improvement initiatives across the division. You will work closely with senior and executive leaders to provide insights that drive operational efficiency, productivity, and informed decision-making
Key responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of high-level analysis and critical reporting to support business efficiency and cost reduction.
- Develop analytical models and performance metrics to monitor and improve divisional outcomes.
- Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior leaders based on data-driven insights.
- Drive improvements in business processes, reporting frameworks, and governance.
- Mentor team members and support divisional projects and priority actions
This role will be based within the Essential Energy footprint with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment.
About You
You bring extensive experience in business analysis within the energy, electrical, or utilities sector and have preferably worked within a PMO team previously. You are highly skilled in project management as well as interpreting complex data, developing reports and dashboards, and using business intelligence tools. Your strengths include strategic thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to influence senior stakeholders. You are confident managing competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, performance-focused environment.
Required Qualification
- Degree in Business Management, Commerce, or Accounting, or demonstrated capability through relevant experience and/or qualifications
