About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager to join our Operations, People and Safety division on a permanent full-time basis. The Commercial Manager will play a key role in supporting our Vegetation Alignment Program.
This role can be based anywhere within Essential Energy’s operational footprint.
The Commercial Manager will lead commercial programs and processes across the functional areas of the team, to achieve defined strategic deliverables through the strategic management of all suppliers and the associated commercial contracts and agreements. The role is required to manage the strategic supplier/contractor relationships to ensure business partnerships are professional and performance based ensuring the optimal balance of cost, quality, risk, and innovation necessary to achieve the desired business outcomes. This role is responsible for developing and implementing sourcing and contract management strategies and ensuring that the team are supported in delivering projects and services to the business.
About you
You are a commercially astute professional with extensive experience in supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and end-to-end contract lifecycle oversight. You bring a strategic mindset to procurement, underpinned by strong analytical capabilities and a deep understanding of market dynamics and supplier performance. Your ability to translate corporate strategy into effective commercial outcomes is matched by your proven leadership in managing supplier performance through KPIs and compliance frameworks. With excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, you build strong, collaborative relationships across all levels of the business and with external partners.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Commerce or Finance or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
