About the role
We are seeking a dynamic HR Business Partner to join our Operations, People and Safety division. In this role, you will work closely with Executives, senior leaders, and employees across designated business units to deliver strategic and technical HR support. You will play a key role in driving organisational change, enhancing leadership capability, and improving the employee experience through expert advice and coordination of central HR functions. This is a pivotal position that contributes to the achievement of business outcomes and fosters a positive workplace culture.
This role can be based anywhere within Essential Energy’s operational footprint and will be a fixed term contract until August 2027.
About You
You are a seasoned HR professional with a strong background in business partnering. You thrive in complex, unionised environments and are confident in navigating industrial awards and agreements. Your ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and manage sensitive employee matters sets you apart. You are passionate about driving performance, inclusion, and cultural alignment across the organisation.
About your skills
You are an exceptional communicator and listener, able to convey information clearly and inspire collaboration. You excel at prioritising workloads, setting goals, and coordinating group tasks. Your problem-solving skills are innovative and practical, drawing on experience and creativity to resolve challenges. You build productive relationships quickly and work effectively with people at all levels.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Commerce or Business with majors in Human Resource Management and/or Employee Relations, or demonstrated capability through relevant experience and qualifications.
Desired experience
At least 5yrs experience as a HR Business Partner or in a Management position, with exposure to complex, highly unionised organisations.
Proven ability in interpreting and applying industrial awards and agreements relevant to Essential Energy operations.
