We currently have an exciting fixed term opportunity for a Program Coordinator to join our team. This has a preferred location of Port Macquarie, however, anywhere in our operational footprint will also be considered.
This role plays a pivotal part in supporting the successful delivery of Essential Energy’s Vegetation Alignment Program by ensuring seamless coordination, clear communication, and a strong focus on stakeholder and customer outcomes. Acting as the central point of connection across a complex portfolio of projects, the Program Coordinator fosters collaboration between teams, delivery partners, and senior stakeholders to enable informed decision-making and timely achievement of program objectives.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the comprehensive administration of the program across the full project lifecycle, supporting strategic planning, delivery and program governance in accordance with Essential Energy’s policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain oversight of program activities, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and compliance with Essential Energy’s policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
- Build and nurture relationships with internal teams and external partners, promoting transparency and responsiveness to customer needs.
- Drive efficient scheduling and provide accurate, insightful reporting to support strategic planning and operational delivery.
- Manage program budgets and financial processes to ensure accountability and value for customers.
- Develop high-quality written content, including reports, executive summaries, and compelling narratives that communicate program objectives and outcomes effectively.
- Prepare clear, visually engaging presentations tailored for senior leadership and executive audiences, ensuring complex information is conveyed with impact and clarity.
- Oversee comprehensive administration across the full project lifecycle, enabling effective governance and continuous improvement.
- Champion a culture of safety, integrity, and inclusion by modelling behaviours that uphold ethical standards, respect, inclusion and diversity in every interaction.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Project Management or demonstrated equivalent capability through experience and/or relevant qualifications
Desirable Qualifications
- Current Driver’s Licence
Experience and Skills
Demonstrated experience in a program or project coordination role, preferably within utilities or customer services, with a strong commitment to delivering positive outcomes for customers and communities.
Experience coordinating and maintaining program and project documentation in line with governance and regulatory requirements, ensuring transparency and accountability to all stakeholders.
Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory obligations relevant to utilities or capital works projects
Strong administration, reporting, and data management skills with a high attention to detail, supporting informed decision-making that benefits customers and community interests.
Proven ability to engage and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders at various levels, fostering relationships that enhance customer satisfaction and trust.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands, ensuring timely delivery of outcomes that support customer and community needs.
Proficient in business systems, reporting tools, and asset or project management systems, leveraging these to improve service delivery.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, always maintaining a focus on customer service and stakeholder satisfaction.
