Our Mungari Gold Operations (MGO) is a cornerstone asset located 20km west of Kalgoorlie, WA and 600km east of Perth. Mungari is a predominantly residential mine, our employees go home every night, with many living in the local community of Kalgoorlie.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Training Advisor, the Trainer Assessors will ensure that the mining operations team’s training and assessment needs are met. Responsibilities will include:
- Delivery of training and assessment within our open pit and underground mine operations
- Contribution to the planning and delivery of the annual training plan and training needs analysis
- Assistance with the development of onsite training and assessment materials
- Identify and report opportunities for improvement to the training system
- Provide information to the Senior Training Advisor to monitor and manage the performance of the mine site against the annual training plans
This is a great hands on role, where you are not only doing the coordination of training needs across site, but the actual 'doing' as well - a dynamic opportunity for the right person.
About you
To be successful in this role, it is essential you have demonstrable experience as a trainer/assessor within heavy industrial mining operations with associated ancillary equipment and mobile plant experience.
Key attributes we will look for include:
- Cert IV TAE40116 – Certificate IV training and assessment (mandatory)
- Experience in heavy mobile operating within a mining industry environment, particularly underground and open pit mining
- All large ancillary equipment qualifications preferred
- Demonstrated experience in Training & Learning Management System - INX highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in effective training program delivery and assessment
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills at all levels with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High focus on safety within the workplace; ability to drive and promote a ‘Safety First’ culture.
