Our Mungari Gold Operations (MGO) is a cornerstone asset located 20km west of Kalgoorlie, WA and 600km east of Perth. Mungari is a predominantly residential mine, our employees go home every night, with many living in the local community of Kalgoorlie.

About the role

As a Resource Geologist, reporting to the Principal Resource Geologist, you will be responsible for the discovery, identification, and evaluation of gold resources across our Mungari Operations. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Construct 3D geological models of lithology, structure and mineralisation
• Use appropriate resource estimation techniques such as ordinary kriging to build high quality, accurate block models
• Reconcile updated resource block models against previous block models, grade control models and historical production.
• Ensure the integrity of the geological database and master geological files on the network server
• Identify exploration targets and contribute to developing drilling budgets that will upgrade the mineral resource
• Preparing mineral resource technical reports and presentations for resource model estimations to communicate risks and opportunities to management and other stakeholders
• Liaise with Mining Engineers to develop optimum mining limits, mine designs, dilution, ore recoveries, and schedules.
• Develop standards, processes and other tools compliant with 2012 JORC Code guidelines. Ensure systems, standards and procedures for estimations are applied and drive resource estimation accuracy and quality.

About you

The Resource Geologist role presents the opportunity for a tertiary qualified and motivated Geologist to join an operation that fosters and encourages development. It is important that you have/ can demonstrate:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology
• Minimum 2 years experience in resource estimation.
• Highly computer literate with expertise in geological modelling software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience using Datamine and Leapfrog (desirable, but not essential)
• Knowledge of statutory acts and regulations, and legal requirements
• Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values
