About the role
Responsible forthe dewatering of the open pit to ensure production targets are achieved as well as to carry out duties assigned by the Supervisor – Mine Development to ensure project targets are met. Key result areas in this role include:
- Provide assistance to the Mine Development Supervisor in managing activities carried out by ground support personnel/contractors including rope access scaling, wall meshing, horizontal hole drilling
- Assist with the supervision and implementation of mining projects as assigned by the Mine Development Supervisor
- Manage mine dewatering activities to ensure that production targets are achieved
- Undertake regular workplace inspections to ensure adherence to site procedures, standards and hazard management systems
- Service and maintain mobile pumps as and when required
About you:
- C2 Crane Ticket desirable
- Dogman Ticket desirable
- Poly Welding Ticket desirable
- Chainsaw competency desirable
- At least 2 years of open pit dewatering experience or familiarity to open cut mining/quarry operation
