About the role
As General Manager and reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, you will be accountable for the development of Evolution's long-term Life of Mine (LOM) plan, overseeing the entire process and its outcomes, ensuring they align with Evolution's strategic direction and technical planning for sustainable, long-term delivery. Key result areas in this role include:
- Providing governance, co-ordination, and oversight to key stakeholders for the consolidation and production of the LOM and planning process for the Group.
- Closely partnering with Group and Site teams to produce a robust LOM aligned with our company strategy, incorporating long-term ESG and workforce plans, delivered to the Leadership Team and the Board.
- Aligned to the above, actively advocate and leverage best practice from across the Group and network & understand best practice across the industry, including systems.
- Role model the Evolution leadership behaviours and company values of safety, excellence, accountability, and respect.
About you
To be successful in this key role, you will hold a relevant degree in mining or a related discipline and have demonstrated experience working in a leadership role within the mining industry.
You will possess strong commercial acumen, which is complemented by your impressive analytical and problem-solving skills, a strong delivery focus, while meeting stakeholder expectations. You excel in articulating and communicating compelling business cases and exhibit a strong ability to persuade, influence, and negotiate effectively.
