This is a site-based position, working at our Ernest Henry operation. The Ernest Henry copper-gold operation is a large-scale, long-life asset. The operation employs sub-level caving or extraction method. It is located 38km north-east of Cloncurry, Queensland on the traditional lands of the Mitakoodi people.

About the role

Reporting to production supervisor, you will be responsible for safely operating and manoeuvring heavy underground dump trucks whilst adhering to trucking rates, limiting the amount of stock piling performed, and adhering to all safety policies and procedures. Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Ensuring timely loading and unloading of materials at designated locations
• Performing duties of other roles (service crew, loader, grader, magazine keeper etc) as trained and when directed by the supervisor.
• Conducting routine pre- and post-operation checks of the underground dump truck
• Effectively managing your own time to maximise productivity and minimise wastage.
• Maintaining clear communication with supervisors, co-workers, and other personnel using radio or other communication systems to coordinate movements and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Working with a safety-first mindset, reporting all incidents and / or injuries in line with site reporting procedures

About you

Your knowledge and experience as a underground dump truck driver, will contribute to ongoing success of one of Evolution Mining’s largest mines. You must have a willingness to continue to improve, implement new ideas and own changes. The right person will be willing to uphold site standards and work towards and hold your peers accountable for their actions. We are looking for people who have the following attributes and qualifications:

• Manual Drivers Licence (mandatory)
• Queensland Security Explosives Clearance Card (QSEC Card) (preferred but no essential)
• Previous experience in operation of underground dump trucks i.e. Sandvik TH663i/551i, CAT AD45/55(preferred)
• Proven capability operating heavy articulated underground equipment
