Our Cowal gold operation is located 40km Northeast of West Wyalong in NSW. This site is residential, meaning our employees return to their own home each night rather than a camp. About the role

A rare opportunity for highly motivated Engineers to be involved in all aspects of the development of a new large-scale underground mine. As an Underground Mining Engineer, you will have the option to be rotated through various roles including:

• Project Engineering
• Backfill Engineering
• Ventilation Officer
• Drill and Blast
• Scheduling

Our aim is to ensure our people are developed to enable them to progress their career in Operations or Technical Services.

About you

This is an opportunity for Engineers or other technical professionals seeking to transition into an underground mining role. You will be a driven and collaborative Engineer who is seeking the challenge of developing a new underground mining operation and career growth. We are looking for people who are competent in communicating information – verbal, written, numerical and graphical and who can develop excellent relationships with peers, leaders, and subordinates. You must display a high level of competency in identifying, understanding, and solving complex problems. To be successful in this role you should be self-directed to achieve individual, team and organisational goals.

You ideally will have /demonstrate:

• Tertiary qualification in mine engineering or related discipline
• Previous start up experience an advantage
• Understanding of NSW Regulatory framework (Safety Management System, PHMP’s and PCPs)
• Underground operational experience – highly regarded
• Risk management experience
• Experience with mine design software, ideally Deswik CAD, Interactive Schedule and Schedule.
