About the role
As a Project Engineer, you will play an important role in working with the Mining team to quote, source, scope and produce at our Cowal Gold Operation.
This role will also be responsible for:
- Providing Operational Support to the underground mining team
- Bringing the underground production online as per schedule
- Contributing to the improvement of safety, production, and cost performance.
- Working with the team leaders to implement change management
- Assisting with tenders and procurement and managing internal and external project stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Initiating, planning, resource and project manage all facets of the various underground mine infrastructure projects
- Maintaining appropriate records to a high level and preparing and distributing reports to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Meeting legislative, regulatory, and Evolution policy requirements while aligning with business objectives

- Leading a safety culture of continuous improvement and playing an active role in our Net Zero 2050 goal.
About you:
The ideal candidate will have, demonstrated experience in Infrastructure project management and construction experience ideally in an underground mining environment.
It is also important that you have/can demonstrate:
- Tertiary Engineering qualification
- Competency with Deswick and or similar project planning software highly regarded
- Previous experience in constructing underground mine projects beneficial
- Ability to communicate effectively and well with wide cross section of workforce – operators, technical and other professional personnel
- Attention to detail, accuracy and ability to follow processes closely
- Ability to generate sound project plans and schedules
- A positive attitude, and ability to work as part of a supportive and harmonious team
