Mō te tūranga | About the role
Looking for summer work in Central Otago where you can be part of a good crew and do work that matters? We're on the lookout for a casual Traffic Management Operative (TMO) to join our team over the summer period.

This is a hands-on role helping keep our sites safe, organised, and moving. You'll be out and about supporting traffic management activities across our projects, working with a team that is flat, friendly, and serious when it counts. If you like being outdoors, enjoy practical work, and want to be part of a team doing Good Work, this could be a great fit.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities
  • Support the set up, operation, and pack down of temporary traffic management sites.
  • Help keep road users, pedestrians, and site crews safe by following approved traffic plans and safety procedures.
  • Carry out day-to-day traffic control duties as directed by the team.
  • Complete checks on equipment, signs, and site layouts to make sure standards are met.
  • Work closely with your crew to deliver safe, efficient, high-quality outcomes.

Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We're looking for someone with
  • A current TMO qualification or relevant traffic management experience.
  • A strong focus on safety, teamwork, and doing the job right.
  • Good communication skills and a reliable, positive attitude.
  • Comfort with hands-on, outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • A full Class 1 licence is preferred.

He pai te mahi, he pai ngā painga | Good work, good benefits
At Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and grow with us. You'll have access to:
  • Medical insurance and Life insurance after the eligibility period.
  • KiwiSaver employer contributions after service milestones, up to 7%.
  • Parental leave top up payment with additional return to work support.
  • Ongoing training and development, with clear career growth and progression opportunities.
  • Great discounts at a wide range of retailers.

Ko wai mātou | About us
At Fulton Hogan, Good Work is at the heart of everything we do. We're a team that backs each other, keeps things down to earth, and takes pride in doing the job well. We work side by side, not top down, and we give people the trust and support to get stuck in and grow.

In Central Otago, you'll be joining a team that knows how to work hard, look out for each other, and share a laugh along the way. We take the work seriously, not ourselves.

Me pēhea te tono | How to apply
If you're keen to spend your summer with a great team doing meaningful work, we'd love to hear from you. Apply now and join Fulton Hogan in Central Otago for the summer season.
