What’s on offer?
Fulton Hogan is looking for a Project Environment & Sustainability Advisor to support its delivery of the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), as part of the Metropolitan Roads Program Alliance (MRPA). MRPA was formed in 2018 and brings together Fulton Hogan, LXRP and Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM).
MRPA is currently focused on delivering the multiple projects to remove level crossing across Melbourne with this role also focused on multiple projects on the horizon as part of Victoria's Big Build.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Onsite environmental & sustainability management for one of our level crossing removal projects covering aspects of ecology, heritage, land and water management.
- Development and implementation of a project specific Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP), Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA), and Project Sustainability Management Plan (PSIP) over the project life-cycle.
- Providing support and training to the Design Manager, Project Manager and project team to ensure that the CEMP and PSIP are followed and the project complies with legislative and contractual environmental and sustainability obligations.
- Engage consultants, specialized contractors and facilitate site work to manage soil and water risks along with heritage and ecological factors at the site.
- Leading, mentoring, training and managing environment and sustainability staff across the project.
- Play an integral part of delivering project Infrastructure Sustainability submissions in accordance with requirements of ISCA and LXRP.
- Facilitating workshops, implement innovative ideas to encourage the continuous improvement of environmental and sustainability performance and escalating ideas for organisational improvements.
How you will connect to the role:
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Engineering or equivalent.
- Someone who can demonstrated Environmental and/or Sustainability experience working onsite and alongside contractors.
- Strong communication, coaching, leadership, problem solving planning and Environmental Aspect report review skills.
- Effective stakeholder management skills, coupled with the ability to build strong relationships and gain credibility quickly.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a wide range of activities, including but not limited to: environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks; conducting and facilitating risk assessments, inspections and audits; environmental and sustainability reporting (e.g. NGERs and ISCA); incident investigation; and subcontractor management.
