Job Summary
Responsible for the safe & cost effective delivery of the Tauranga Airport Upgrade project. People management - getting resource into the right places, defining roles and responsibilities. Financial - forecasting, planning, and working on the contract. Technical oversight - final sign off of methodology and planning, including programming. Liaising with airport staff and stakeholders.
The Opportunity
We have a unique opportunity for a Project Manager to lead and drive our high performing teams on the Tauranga Airport upgrade project based in Tauranga. This is a key role and project for our region, as you will manage and lead project delivery ensuring the profitable, compliant and efficient delivery of the works

You will be responsible for:
- Setting project estimates for resource use and cost, manage the project to meet or exceed margins/ profit.
- Ensuring the project is carried out to job specifications, company policies and relevant legislation, codes and regulations.
- Maintaining customer / client relationships and finding innovative ways to add value to our customer to meet their expectations
- Subcontractor and Supplier Management
- Preparing a specific program to achieve the construction dates and milestones
- Leading and championing Fulton Hogan best practices, work procedures, health and safety, environment and quality procedures, customer relationship management on all projects
- Ensuring Fulton Hogan procedures for supplier and subcontractor engagement and management are followed
- Managing key stakeholder engagement
- Managing and developing internal capability
What you'll bring to the table
- Minimum 5 years relevant construction experience (including job and project management)
- Holds relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience
- Competent users of Word, Excel and Project
- Knowledge and competence using CCS Candy software would be advantageous
- Understanding of job pricing including materials, labor and plant and associated margin / profit calculations
- Familiar with NZS 3910, Construction Contracts Act, NEC Contracts, Working towards CCS training as Project Management tool.
