The Wellington Transport Alliance (WTA) is a partnership between Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, Fulton Hogan and WSP. WTA is responsible for managing the maintenance and operations programme for the state highways and roading networks of the Greater Wellington Region, and for delivering high service standards to the people and roading network of the region.

The Opportunity
In this role you will be the Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) champion for WTA and will provide strategic and Alliance culture leadership and management to the design, programming, supervision and delivery of TTM services in support of WTA works.
You will:
- Be responsible for developing in-house and subcontractor TTM capability and capacity for the benefit of the wider market.
- Overviewing and managing the operational TTM delivery of WTA's work programme
- Help create and champion a "Traffic Management Centre of Excellence" that will provide professional development and increased capacity to both WTA internal Resources and Suppliers.
- Engage with, and provide support to, all TTM Suppliers (in-house crews, internal and external subcontractors) adopting a "One Team" approach
- Driving a safety culture for all individuals, crew and road users
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 5 years work experience delivering TTM services in a high-capacity motorway corridor
- A/B/C STMS NP or STMS Level 2/3 NP (preferred)
- Ability to lead, supervise and manage operational teams
- Able to work and communicate effectively with people at all levels; within and external to the Alliance
- A can do it safely, customer focused attitude
- Strong written and verbal reporting skills
- Previous experience leading diverse road maintenance delivery teams (preferred)
- Experience working in Alliance or collaborative contract teams (preferred)
