Fulton Hogan is pleased to announce we have been awarded the design and construction project for the Newcastle Inner City Bypass - Rankin Park to Jesmond. Working closely with Transport for NSW this project comprises of 3.4kms of four-lane divided road with interchanges at Newcastle Road, Lookout Road and the John Hunter Hospital precinct. Upgrades to existing connecting roads, pedestrian bridge and underpass are included in the scope of works to complete. This $450 million project is set to commence late 2022 and will provide essential infrastructure to the Newcastle community.
What's on offer?
We are looking for talented and experienced Chain of Responsibility / Plant Advisor to our Newcastle Inner City Bypass Project Team. Your background in construction infrastructure projects will assist us delivering this project. This position will be the key contact and support within the business on Chain of Responsibility requirements and HVNL legislation.
The Responsibilities:
- Work with clients and contractors to implement Fulton Hogan Procedures around HVNL and Chain of Responsibility
- Conduct audits and inspections at Fulton Hogan projects to ensure HVNL compliance
- Provide support to Fulton Hogan Projects and staff to ensure compliance
- Support the Fulton Hogan Plant Management processes as required
- Support the Fulton Hogan On-boarding processes for Heavy Vehicles
- Provide assistance to project staff to manage OSOM deliveries and permits
- Participate in risk assessments to develop suitable control measures
How you'll connect to the role?
- Solid working knowledge of Chain of Responsibility requirements and HVNL legislation
- Plant or a mechanical background with a knowledge earthmoving and construction equipment or road trucking would be advantageous
- Heavy Vehicle Truck Licence with load restraint experience
- Comfortable with using or learning technology - computer, iPad, online and offline systems.
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Keen eye for detail
- Excellent communicator
