Fulton Hogan and Citywide, working under a JV partnership, are looking to recruit an experienced and energetic Business Development Manager, with a high level of commercial and engineering acumen, to join our team in North Melbourne on a part-time basis.

Reporting to the General Manager - Citywide, this role will put you at the front end with a highly respected and successful civil contractor.
You will implement the organisation's business development strategy in line with the overall goals of the organisation, develop new and expand existing markets to ultimately, target opportunities that can add sustainable profit. Your sales capabilities will see you drive new opportunities into the organisation and will set you up for success.
In this role you'll be responsible for?
- Identifying and creating opportunities in the current market that will sustain short and long-term growth within our business, tracking it appropriately, securing approvals and writing registrations of interest.
- Bringing new clients to the business through existing relationships and effective BD practices and diligently noting and managing those through the Project Tracking database - keeping the business informed of status and progress.
- Developing a pipeline of future opportunities, leveraging off our established systems and networks, market mapping and effective research mechanisms
- Attending industry events to liaise with potential partners and clients
What will you bring to the table?
You will possess a track record converting leads into opportunities. Having a history that demonstrates you are an influencer in the industry with an appropriate foundation of technical/engineering expertise stemming from the sector is a desirable, but it is certainly not an essential.
What we are ultimately looking for is your ability to build strong relationships and networks with key stakeholders whilst working collaboratively across a diverse and complex environment. You will be resilient, adaptable and someone who is comfortable taking the initiative. Key to your success will be your ability to bring people together, build relationships and develop new business in an affable and professional manner.
