On Offer
Due to recent changes within the business, we are currently seeking a Subcontractor Compliance Coordinator to look after our SEQ and NQ business units. This is a hands on and highly mobile role that will require an equal amount of time at the front line of our operations, with office time conducting analysis of where we are and directing us to where we need to be.
Based in Ormeau depot and reporting to the Regional Safety Manager we are looking for someone that is able to work across our business from rocks to roads. Beginning in our quarries then across to the production facilities via our own, and external transport fleets, then out to the asphalt and spray seal teams no two days will be the same.
The position will require a thorough knowledge of NHVR and COR, an excellent understanding of WHS, an ability to assess mechanically, to negotiate and communicate fairly, and to educate and support our internal and external stake holders.
Your Contribution
- Work with our clients and subcontractors to implement Fulton Hogans procedures around HVNL and Chain of Responsibility;
- Conduct audits and inspections at Fulton Hogan sites to ensure HVNL compliance;
- Provide support to Fulton Hogan contractors and sub-contractors to ensure compliance and support the Fulton Hogan Plant Management processes;
- Support Fulton Hogan on-boarding processes for both heavy vehicles and subcontractor drivers and workers;
- Participate in risk assessments to develop suitable control measures;
- Checking and verifying onsite documents are correct;
- Providing feedback to business unit managers on compliance, including methods to rectify any non-conformance;
- Ensuring truck and trailers used on site have been inducted and are compliant;
- Working with contractors and subcontractors to address issues as required;
- Using internal reporting and inspection systems.
Let's Connect
- Experience managing transport regulatory co mpliance;
- Experience in relationship management of both internal clients and external stakeholders;
- Ability to hold self and others accountable to raise the transport safety standards;
- Solid working knowledge of Chain of Responsibility requirements and HVNR legislation;
- Plant or a mechanical background with a road trucking would be advantageous;
- Heavy Vehicle Truck Licence (HR, HC, MC);
- Comfortable with using technology - computer, iPad, online and offline systems;
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines, keen eye for detail and clear and patient communicator.
