We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant for our Sydney Road Asset Performance Contract project based in Rydalmere. Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about being involved in a dynamic environment. You will demonstrate your ability to use your initiative and show confidence in establishing systems and procedures, be able to exercise your administration and analysis skills and be able to apply concepts and procedures that can lead to effective improvements in business procedures across multiple sites and projects.
What will you be responsible for?
- Organising / Assigning IT hardware and consumables, plant and equipment
- Coordinate with finance/ administration staff to ensure proper billing of costs
- Reconcile and follow up plant usage reports
- Reconcile and follow up payroll data for both Salaried and Wages staff
- Act as primary point of contact between the Company and the Internal & External stakeholders for all JV billing and related administration matters
- Liaising with Internal and External stakeholders to assist them in understanding their reporting information they receive
- Refining existing procedure and processes as required or where possible
- Collating information and consolidating into various Management reports as required
- Deal with problem debtors as and when required
- Manage process client payment claim
- EOM tasks/reconcile and journal accruals
- Overseeing and understanding the Accounts payable JDE processes
- Ensure all insurance and statutory payments for Subcontractors are accurate and current
- Ensure subcontract payments are reviewed, approved and executed in accordance to the subcontract agreement
- Manage the financial process of monthly subcontractor progress claims
- Assist Project Finance Manager any other duties as required
How you'll connect to the role?
High-level communication ability is essential, with verbal, written and interpersonal skills integral to success in this role. To be successful in this role you will have;
- Experience in a similar role preferably in an engineering or construction environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent multi-tasking and organisational skills
- Highly proficient in the use of MS Office and JDE
- Experienced in analysing and coordinating large amounts of data
- High-level understanding of commercial principles
- Excellent communication skills across both verbal and written mediums
- Affinity for continuous improvement and innovation, applying learnings to 'real world' project delivery environments
Previous exposure to infrastructure construction and maintenance programs of work would be an advantage but is not essential.
