Our Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has presented for an Assistant Accountant to complement our Northern Region Construction Finance Team, based in Eight Mile Plains. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the region with the day-to-day financial accounting and reporting functions, as well as providing advice, insight, and analysis to the operational and management teams to achieve strategic objectives.

Your Contribution
- Assisting with Month end and year end reporting including processing journal entries, joint venture entries and preparing profit and loss.
- Preparing weekly cash flow and monitor status of outstanding accounts receivable.
- Assisting project teams with financial reporting activities.
- Assisting with the preparation of the region's Fringe Benefits Tax return preparation.
- Assisting the Regional Finance Manager with reporting on regional financial performance against KPIs.
- Providing support with financial issues to team members, Engineers, and Managers.
- Assisting with ensuring compliance with internal policies, statutory and regulatory requirements.

- Relevant and recent experience in an Accountancy role, preferably within the Construction, Infrastructure, or Engineering industry sectors, and/or professional services firm.
- You will appreciate the importance of working in a team environment and be able to engage effectively at all levels.
- Innately, you will have the Initiative and confidence in challenging the norm in establishing best practice systems and procedures and be self-motivated and ready to take on a new challenge.
