What's on offer?
We're looking to appoint an experienced Excavator Operator to undertake Sewer Construction works within our Pipelines Department. This is a permanent full-time position, that will see you working across the South-Eastern suburbs and other Greater Melbourne Metro areas.
On a day-to-day basis you'll be involved as a key member of a construction crew undertaking the installation of new sewer and water pipelines mainly within new subdivisions. Regular duties will include:
- Operation of excavators up to 30T class;
- Safe trenching techniques to depth;
- Installation and removal of trench shoring;
- Handling and placement of pipe and back fill;
- Clean-up and compaction of trenches;
- Plant maintenance;
- Other plant operation, pipe laying & labouring duties when required.
How you'll connect to the role?
- A strong commitment to safety;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Sewer or water construction experience;
- Deep trenching experience;
- Excavator operator experience;
- Have proven relevant operator experience in water & sewer main trenching.
