What's on offer?
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer, to join our Western Construction team to support our RAAF Base Pearce Project, located in Bullsbrook, WA. The project is approximately 18 months in duration and includes significant upgrades to existing airfield asphalt pavements, concrete pavements, drainage, and airfield ground lighting (AGL) infrastructure.
The role is intended to provide support to the existing project engineering team across the various work scopes as well as providing additional support and resource to the Quality / HOTO Manager and Project Quality Representative (PQR).
As an experienced construction project engineer and quality management professional, you will ideally have experience in Airfield and/or Roadworks civil construction, including flexible asphalt and concrete pavements, earthworks, drainage, electrical and communications services, and non-process buildings (minimal scope). Experience with Defence processes and delivering works with a lot based management approach (e.g. through: ConQA, QAntrol, CivilPro) will be highly regarded.
As an important senior construction delivery team member, you will:
- Be the responsible Project Engineer for agreed work elements to ensure time, cost and quality objectives are achieved.
- Perform select activities on behalf of Project Quality Representative (PQR) including field inspections.
- Support the Project Engineering Team to work in accordance with the approved Quality Management Plan including preparation and completion of associated deliverables including ITPs, Checklists, requests etc.
- Support the Project Engineering Team and Quality /. HOTO Manager with commissioning and handover obligations.
You will ideally hold a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and have demonstrated experience in project delivery across mid to large scale civil projects, preferably with relevant experience at airfields/airports and on Defence projects.
Advanced communication skills, excellent organisational ability, and extensive technical and multi-disciplinary experience, will be required, as is resilience, adaptability and confidence in decision making.
