We wish to complement our existing team with an experienced Community & Stakeholder Engagement Officer to join our Fulton Hogan Utilities business in SA. In this role you'll be responsible for:

  • Engaging stakeholders, landowners, indigenous communities, local councils, state governments and any other governing bodies/authorities
  • Ensuring all contractual and legislative requirements are met prior to access of land for survey and construction works
  • Proactively manage key stakeholders expectations and concerns to ensure access constraints do not inhibit the survey/construction program
  • Promote a Safety First culture.

How you'll connect to the role:

  • Ability to develop strong relationships with community and stakeholders at all levels
  • Qualifications in communications and/or stakeholder engagement combined with hands on project experience in an infrastructure construction environment
  • Experience managing stakeholder expectations and balancing priorities
  • Empathy, listening skills and the ability to make sound and balanced judgments
  • A good understanding of the project life cycle of major infrastructure/construction projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Adopting and driving Fulton Hogan's Living Safely Culture.
