What's on offer?
With the continued growth of our business, we are seeking to appoint a Leading Hand to join our busy Infrastructure Services Metro business based in Eight Mile Plains, to help oversee the crew and streamline operations.
You will report directly to the Foreman , and work closely with the Supervisor.
In this role you will:
- Follow direction of Forman and Supervisor .
- Able to step up and lead the crew when ad if required.
- Ensure crew work outputs exceed client expectations, are well planned and highly productive.
- Report and monitor workplace hazards, risks, issues and incidents.
- Contribute to development of SWMS, attend toolbox and daily prestart meetings where required.
You will ideally have the following:
- Strong asphalt experience or have worked as a Leading Hand in the past.
- An ability to understand what is required, set the direction and communicate the plan day to day to the crew, with a strong commitment to Safety.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and drive to build, create and produce outputs to high standards.
- Be highly organised, possess strong communication skills and be able to influence a team.
- Understanding of Mobile devices and the use of Apps and work programs.
- Be available to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Valid Drivers' Licence, Truck license beneficial.
