The Opportunity
GeelongPort is seeking an Operations Excellence Manager to establish and manage our operational performance framework through effective continuous improvement, project management, reporting, and technical integration with a strong focus on delivering outstanding customer experiences. In this role, you will lead projects that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction, drive system integrations, and develop reporting suite for executive leadership to generate actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end to end project delivery of all operational improvement activities, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Design, implement, and maintain a suite of reporting tools to provide real-time visibility of KPIs and customer service metrics.
- Analyse data to identify and prioritise improvement opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with customers and port users, proactively seeking feedback to enhance service outcomes.
- Drive adoption of new technologies and process improvements to optimise service delivery and customer outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful outcomes.
- Support financial performance by managing project budgets and contributing to cost improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
You are a result driven professional with a passion for continuous improvement with experience using range of methodologies to deliver tangible outcomes. Your background includes:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant or adjacent field.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end projects in an operational environment, with a proven track record of delivery.
- Strong analytical skills to provide actionable insights through data analysis.
- Continuous improvement mindset, always seeking opportunities to optimise processes, enhance user experience, and drive adoption of new technologies.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and manage project schedules.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that empower you to establish productive relationships with stakeholders at every level.
- Experience in change management, supporting stakeholders through transitions and ensuring successful adoption of new systems and processes.
