What you’ll do (but not limited to):
- Review of the Contract, construction drawings and specifications to develop a strong understanding of the project scope, task durations and project deadlines.
- Collaborate with construction support to assist in developing the staging and sequencing required to complete the project scope.
- Support the project team in identifying opportunities to reduce time, advise of any risks against key milestones, and provide assurance on achieving the key dates.
- Ensure that a reliable and credible overall project program incorporating design, approvals, procurement, off site fabrication and delivery, construction, testing and commissioning is developed and achieves the completion objectives of the Project.
- Develop programs with consideration of project delays and critical path.
- Resource loading of the program to utilise for estimating purposes.
What you’re good at:
- Demonstrated experience as a Programmer or Project Engineer in the Civil infrastructure sector
- A well-rounded understanding of construction methodologies and experience working on complex projects >$100M in value, ideally road and bridge construction projects in urban environments.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- The ability to write routine reports, basis of program reports, identify program risks and correspondence.
- The ability to problem solve and research innovative ways to reduce costs through efficient programming.
- Exposure or sound knowledge in programming software suites such as Asta Power Project, Primavera P6 or Microsoft project.
