
Senior Contracts Manager
Based in our Brisbane office at Fortitude Valley, there is an exciting opportunity to join Georgiou a Senior Contracts Manager for our Contracts Management and Legal Team (CML).
The Senior Contracts Manager will provide senior‑level contract management and commercial leadership across major infrastructure and building projects, leading risk, claims, and compliance activities, partnering closely with in‑house and legal stakeholders, and ensuring contractual obligations are effectively managed from tender through to final account and close‑out.

What you’ll do (but not limited to):
- Play a leadership role in the provision of industry-leading in-house contract management services to operative colleagues on multiple projects – mainly Georgiou Group.
- Liaise closely with legal colleagues from CML in advising operative colleagues.
- Support the operative to ensure legal accountabilities and contractual obligations are met and delivered in accordance with the contract terms and specifications.
- Manage risk and compliance activities
- Lead the review the Employer’s Requirements, Specifications, Scope, Contract Data and Works Information and associated information and highlight any deficiencies / omissions etc.
- Perform contract risk analysis for tender purposes.
- Manage the coordination and preparation of major contractual correspondence, submittals, referrals and other contractual documentation.
- Lead in investigating and addressing contractual issues, including disputes, claims, variations and the like.
- Lead in building up operative major contractual claims.
- Liaise with CML Legal in preparing for and managing all aspects of contractual claims submission and all forms of dispute resolution.
- Support the operative in ensuring completion of structured contract closure / discharge.
What you’re good at:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Law or similar related discipline from an internationally accredited university / technical college or similar institution.
- Minimum of 15+ years’ post graduate experience in contract management / administration, scheduler in the construction industry on major international or national construction projects.
- Expert knowledge of project programming, forensic program analysis and scheduling & quantum
- Good working knowledge of standard Australian construction law/regulations/practices.
- Self-motivated, persistent, and flexible, with a strong emphasis on a team approach.
- Experience in investigating and managing contractual issues, including disputes and claims.
