Gold Fields' mining assets in the Australia region (GFA) include a 100% interest in the St Ives, Agnew and Granny Smith mines and a 50:50 interest in the Gruyere JV project with Gold Road Resources.
Gruyere Gold Mine, a Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources Joint Venture (50/50) is located in the Yamarna Greenstone Belt in Western Australia. Gruyere was commissioned in 2019 and is one of Australia's largest and lowest cost gold mining operations boasting a plant production of 300,000+ ounces per annum with an enviable production profile in excess of 10 years.
Role Details:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direction and support on financial strategies and commercial governance, being confident to respectfully challenge stakeholders and identify opportunities for improvement. As a member of the Gruyere site leadership team, you will oversee financial, business planning, information technology and warehousing service provision to the Gruyere operation.
You will lead in a manner that seeks to align and enhance the values, safety culture and performance of Gold Fields.
This role is offered on 3 x 4 days on, 3 days off, 1 x 8 days on, 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth.

About the role:
-
Provide financial and commercial advice to department leaders for effective cost control, value and opportunity identification, and compliance to policies;

Manage an efficient and cost-effective warehousing function, working with supply staff to optimise inventory stock and critical spare item availability;

Lead the Information Technology function on site, overseeing provision of quality day-to-day support and project rollouts;

Execute completion of the end-of-month reporting process and cost and business analytics for site;

Manage the site capital strategy being executed in line with budget. Coordinate detailed Approval for Expenditure submissions being supported with appropriate Net Present Value detail and work with the Perth procurement and contracts teams to ensure delivery of projects aligned with expected spend;

Lead the Commercial Team with guidance, advice and support provided as required;

Lead the site in the annual strategic and business planning processes, as well as overseeing corporate finance directives and initiatives regarding cost control, supply and IT.
About you:

Recognised Tertiary Qualification/s, Diploma or degree in accounting

Finance and/or commercial experience,

Resources industry experience beneficial

Previous experience developing and motivating teams

Experience providing commercial and financial guidance to leadership

Experience creating business plans and delivering timely execution

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Valid Western Australian Driver’s Licence
