The mine is located on the Norseman-Wiluna Greenstone Belt, which forms part of the Yilgarn Craton in Western Australia. It is a highly mineralised granite-greenstone terrain with world-class deposits of gold and nickel. St Ives has produced more than 10.5 million ounces of gold, with the first major gold mining expedition commencing in the mid-1980s.
St Ives Gold Mine operates mainly on a residential basis, with employees either living in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie as well as having a fly-in and fly-out option for those not living locally.
With a 10-year life of mine, stability is also on offer.
Role Details
This is a role responsible for the coordination of capital infrastructure related projects including construction, installation, repair, improvement, movement, decommission, and demolition of facilities and associated Underground and Surface infrastructures. To meet current and anticipated capital project demand in accordance with Gold Fields standards while maintaining compliance with relevant legislative and statutory requirements.

This role is offered on 8 days on, 6 days off Fly in Fly out roster from Perth, or residential for the local community.

Duties of the role:

Proactively seek stakeholder engagement for all projects, and effectively communicate relevant information

Scope and generate project schedules, and actively track these projects to ensure timely completion

Actively track project costs to ensure compliance with budgeted expenditure

Proactively monitor and promote safety with Business Partners and Contractor groups
-
Technical report compilation, including preparation of drawings, figures, and tables
-
Enhancing the capability of the business to achieve improved performance and growth by actively contributing to business and cultural improvement initiatives, encouraging team members to participate, and identifying barriers to goal achievement
About You:
You will have:

Post graduate qualifications in engineering /trade qualification, and/or project management is desirable

Proven experience in a similar role in an underground mining environment

Demonstrate application of continuous improvement ideas
-
Project Management experience on infrastructure projects.

A valid Driver’s License

Highly competent in Microsoft Office, Project, Excel, and other software such as Deswik, Auto CAD
