Gold Fields is a globally diversified gold producer with nine operating mines in Australia, Peru, South Africa and West Africa (including the Asanko JV), as well as one project in Chile.
Gold Fields' mining assets in the Australia region (GFA) include a 100% interest in the St Ives, Agnew and Granny Smith mines and a 50:50 interest in the Gruyere JV project with Gold Road Resources.
St Ives Gold Mine is located 20km south-east of Kambalda and approximately 80 km south of Kalgoorlie. It is comprised of both open pit and underground operations and produces over 350,000 ounces of gold per annum.
Role Details:
Reporting to the Senior Geologist, you will be responsible for providing quality underground mine geology services and working collaboratively with the broader Mining Team to maximise return from the operation.

This role can be offered as residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie OR Fly in Fly out from Perth on an 8 days on 6 days off roster.

About the role:
-
Support the Mining Team in maximising ore recovery and minimising dilution;
-
Collate and deliver accurate production data, forecasts and associated reports;
-
Be responsible for high level contribution to geological interpretation and structural models for your operation;

Utilise site systems and QA/QC protocols to ensure the quality and integrity of data;

Planning, organising and management of grade control and mine definition drill programs.
About you:

Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology
-
Possess a current manual driver’s licence
-
Previous practical experience in Underground Mining will be beneficial
-
Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Datamine/Leapfrog geological modelling software packages
