Gold Fields is a globally diversified gold producer with nine operating mines in Australia, Peru, South Africa and West Africa (including the Asanko JV), as well as one project in Chile.
Gold Fields' mining assets in the Australia region (GFA) include a 100% interest in the St Ives, Agnew and Granny Smith mines and a 50:50 interest in the Gruyere JV project with Gold Road Resources.
St Ives Gold Mine is located 20km south-east of Kambalda and approximately 80 km south of Kalgoorlie. It is comprised of both open pit and underground operations and produces over 350,000 ounces of gold per annum.

This role can be offered as residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie on a 8 days on, 6 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off roster OR Fly in Fly out from Perth. Bus transportation is offered to and from site for residential candidates and relocation assistance will be offered to the successful candidate if required.

About the role:
-
Generate comprehensive analysis of Mining Operational training requirements and where appropriate, collaborate with other training personnel to establish training calendars, training programs, completion of VOCs, and offering training support to other areas of the business

Develop, review, and facilitate the presentation of internal training programs within the Underground Mining Operational areas including Fixed Plant, Paste Fill, Engineering, Geology, Geotech & Projects

Source and coordinate the delivery of internal and external training programs including regular auditing, review, and assessment of training material and its effectiveness within the Underground Mining Operational areas

Act as a subject matter expert and work collaboratively with other training personnel and support departments, share resources, best practice knowledge, and timely feedback on the suitability of candidates and employees

Develop and implement competency-based training and assessment programs for Underground Mining Operational personnel, including the provision for regular re-assessment and evaluation, to minimise the risks associated with the undertaking of operational and maintenance activities

Ensure Mining area-specific induction training material is up to date and delivered to personnel, contractors, and visitors as required
About you:

Previous experience in a Training role

Certificate IV Training and Assessment

Sound computer and literacy skills
-
Solid experience in an underground mining operation (or related industry)

Experience in using SuccessFactors LMS system would be highly regarded
