Dewatering Technician

Gold Fields is a globally diversified gold producer with nine operating mines in Australia, Peru, South Africa and West Africa (including the Asanko JV), as well as one project in Chile

Gold Fields' mining assets in the Australia region (GFA) include a 100% interest in the St Ives, Agnew and Granny Smith mines and a 50:50 interest in the Gruyere JV project with Gold Road Resources.

Gold Fields has an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join the Agnew underground maintenance team.

Role Details:

Reporting to the Leading Hand: Electrical, you will be responsible for assisting the mining maintenance team to dewater the underground mine safely and efficiently.

This role is offered on 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.

About the role:

• Manage, install, repair and monitor dewatering infrastructure including pumps (diesel and electric) and poly pipeline following policies and procedures, along with statutory regulations

• Conduct preventative maintenance of the underground dewatering system

• Carry out fault-finding, diagnosis and repair of damaged pumps, and all dewatering infrastructure

• Assist in moving and installing pumps as required

• Support the Maintenance Planner, as required, with any parts required or information leading up to the repair of any equipment

About you:

• Mechanical Trade Qualification e.g Fitter, would be highly regarded, however not essential

• Proven experience in maintenance of fixed plant equipment

• Valid Driver’s License

• Basic Computer skills in Microsoft Office Programs, AMT, SAP would be an advantage

• Knowledge and application of relevant statutory obligations

• Crane, Dogging, EWP and Forklift tickets would be advantageous to your application
