The team at surface mobile maintenance team at St Ives Gold Mine have an opportunity for a Leading Hand to join their team.
Role Details:
Reporting to the Supervisor: Mechanical, you will be responsible for the effective execution and supervision of mechanical maintenance related issues for surface mobile equipment on site.

This role is offered on a 4 days on, 4 nights, 6 off roster and would require the incumbent to be residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie.

Duties of the role:
-
Supervising the day-to-day activities of the maintenance team inclusive of contractors in a cost-efficient manner

Achieve budgeted maintenance targets by practicing preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and timely repair of mobile equipment.

Assist with ongoing training and mentoring of apprentices and trainees and supervising of contractors.

Ensuring the activities of maintenance personnel are consistently aligned with meeting operational targets

Assisting in the development, implementation, and monitoring of adherence to relevant new maintenance procedures, processes, and technology to ensure the safe and efficient operation of assets by providing input based on previous experiences
About you:

Australian recognised Heavy Duty or Mobile Plant Trade qualification

Completion of leadership or supervisory qualification

Previous experience in Komatsu and Caterpillar fleets would be advantageous, but not essential

Holding a valid WA drivers license is mandatory;

Tickets and certificates such as Apply First Aid, Crane, Dogging, EWP and Forklift are advantageous.

Knowledge and application of relevant statutory obligations

Supervisory/Management training is desirable

SAP & AMT experience is desirable
