Granny Smith Mine (GSM) is an underground gold mining operation located 740km northeast of Perth, Western Australia.
Our people fly to the site on a chartered jet departing Perth Airport’s Terminal 2 four days a week to Laverton with a travel time of around 85 minutes, or via road for employees residing in host community towns including Laverton and Kalgoorlie.

Role Details:
Gold Fields – Granny Smith is currently seeking a Coordinator: Paste Fill to join their Underground Mining Team.
Reporting to the Underground Manager, this role will coordinate the operation of the Paste Plant and all underground activities associated with Paste Fill. Responsible for the development and mentoring of the Paste Fill team to achieve budgeted production, meeting all quality standards including cost, safety and environment. This position may also be involved in improvement projects

This role is offered on 8 days on 6 days off, 4 days on 3 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.

About the role:
- Manage the Paste Plant systems and processes, identify and prioritise improvement opportunities.
- Cooridinate maintenance activities to ensure the plant is working within specification and available for paste pouring as required.
- Monitor tails harvesting, blending and stock control of paste consumables including cement, RO1, tails, blended tails, etc
- Create daily workplans and paste pour instructions. Manage the paste reticulation network and project manage required extensions.
- Conduct underground inspections as required.
- Liaise with the Underground Tech Services department for weekly, monthly, and quarterly schedules.
- Develop and implement training methods and programs. Co-ordinate training requirements with relevant departments
About you:
- WA Underground Shift Supervisor’s Certificate - desirable
- Previous displayed experience as a Paste Fill Coordinator
- Proven familiarisation with Underground paste fill activities, pipe reticulation, paste walls, paste running
- Knowledge of WA Mines Legislation and Regulations with specific understanding in relation to paste operations
- Completed Apply First Aid Certificate
- Valid Driver’s License
