Producing more than 250,000 ounces of gold each year, Gold Fields’ Agnew mine site is located in the Eastern Goldfields region.
It is situated 23 km west of Leinster, 375 km north of Kalgoorlie, and almost 1000km from Perth.
Gold Fields acquired the mine in 2001, and gold is sourced from underground operations and processed via the CIP plant.
Role Details:
Reporting to the General Manager at Agnew, you will be responsible for all site-based capital projects.

This role would be offered on a 4 days on, 3 days off roster Fly in Fly out from Perth.

About the role:
- Support study development for potential & identified projects including leading of scoping, feasibility and engineering studies.
- Working closely with onsite stakeholders, Gold Fields and offsite resources to ensure timeline and site requirement compliance.
- Project management of approved mine and cross-department projects utilising a formal project management framework demonstrating strong and explicit safety leadership, plans, monitors & controls of projects and delivery to a defined standard.
- Provide technology solutions to ensure delivered projects are not only capital effective but have low maintenance costs and a high level of future integration.
- Provide feedback for the regional direction of the Projects within the Australasian region, working closely with the GF project team to develop systems and processes.
- Ensure all regional engineering and project systems, policies, processes, procedures & resources are adhered to.
- Provide technical support & advice to operational personnel.
- Identify best practices and assist in review and potential implementation in alignment with Gold Fields project team requirements.
- Participate in cross-functional interaction with core functions i.e., Mining, Geology, Processing, Engineer for a unified approach to Project evaluation and execution.
About you:
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent
- Ideally formal Project Management Qualifications i.e., PMP
- Prior Project Management experience in the mining &/or mineral processing environment
- Exposure to organisational strategy working collaboratively within a multifunctional management team
- Valid WA Drivers Licence
- First Aid Certificate
