QLD Regional Project Manager – Ground Consolidation

About the Role:

Ideally based in Mackay and reporting to the Head of Chemical Injections, the QLD Regional Project Manager – Ground Consolidation will play a pivotal role in driving the success of Ground Consolidation operations across Queensland. You’ll oversee performance across key operational sites, overseeing project delivery, contractor performance, safety and client relationships. You’ll be the face of Ground Consolidation for our QLD operations -leading people, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring exceptional operational outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage QLD Ground Consolidation projects and contracts to meet scope, schedule, budget, and KPI targets.
  • Oversee and mentor operational teams, subcontractors, and service partners to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑performing site operations.
  • Drive strong safety performance and compliance across all sites.
  • Maintain and grow client relationships, managing key contracts, and identifying new opportunities for service expansion.
  • Provide operational and technical input into tender scopes, quotes, and product applications, supporting the broader sales and technical teams.
  • Oversee resource planning, equipment, and inventory management.
  • Monitor project performance, manage risks, and deliver improvements
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, sharing best practice and driving innovation across the Ground Consolidation team

About You:

You are an experienced operational leader with a solid background in underground coal mining and project management. You thrive in dynamic, fast‑paced environments and are confident guiding teams, building strong relationships, and delivering high‑quality outcomes. You communicate clearly, understand technical concepts, and can translate them effectively for a range of stakeholders. You bring more than five years of experience in underground coal or similar operational settings, along with proven capability in project leadership, operational management, and mentoring both internal teams and contractor groups. Your strong commercial awareness supports effective client and contract management, and any exposure to sales or commercial activity is highly regarded. Above all, you demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement in everything you do.
