We are seeking an experienced Lead Field Service Technician to play a key role in the commissioning, delivery, and support of advanced security and integrated building technology projects. This position offers the opportunity to work with industry-leading security platforms while supporting some of Australia's most complex commercial and government environments.

As a technical leader, you will provide commissioning expertise, mentor technicians and subcontractors, support project teams, and ensure exceptional outcomes for our customers through innovative security solutions.

About the Role

Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading commissioning activities, fault diagnosis, system configuration, and technical support across a range of security platforms. You will work closely with project managers, customers, installers, and subcontractors to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commission and integrate security and building services systems.
  • Configure, diagnose faults, repair, and program:
    • Electronic Access Control Systems (EACS)
    • CCTV systems
    • Type 1A security systems
    • Access Control platforms
    • Gallagher and Lenel systems
    • Other third-party security technologies
  • Provide technical leadership and commissioning support to project teams.
  • Liaise with customers, subcontractors, and trade partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identify project risks and recommend practical solutions.
  • Maintain project documentation and quality assurance records.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and customer outcomes.
  • Promote and lead safe work practices across all project activities

Skills & Experience:

Essential

  • Strong experience in security system commissioning, fault finding, and programming.
  • Experience with CCTV, access control, and integrated security platforms.
  • Excellent customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
  • Current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances, police checks, security licences, and site-specific access requirements.

Highly Regarded

  • Experience with Gallagher and Lenel systems.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience working with security and control systems.
  • Electrical or Electronics qualification (Diploma or higher).
  • Supervisor Trade Certificate.
  • Existing NV1 Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
