About the role

We have updated our People & Capability Operating model to strengthen our focus on delivering cross-functional transformational people initiatives, as well as uplifting our strategic and value-adding business partnering capability.

Within this role, you will be a trusted advisor to senior leaders within the business, responsible for shaping and executing people strategies at the business unit level, as well as informing the design, delivery and embedding of cross-functional strategic people initiatives. You will partner closely with senior leaders to drive organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, leadership capability, culture and change.

Salary from $140,877 plus super

Key responsibilities

  • Translate the organisational and people strategy into workforce, capability and culture priorities for your business area, adding value, partnerships and plans to deliver

  • Provide key insights on people matters and actively influence and support successful embedding of people strategies

  • Partner with business unit leaders to ensure plans align with strategic priorities, approved headcount, labour budgets and financial forecasts

  • Provide expert guidance and influence leaders to adopt new P&C frameworks, policies and ways of working

Skills & experience

  • Commercially minded with a strong ability to align P&C strategies and plans with business needs and opportunities
  • Experimental and innovative mindset with the ability to stay on top of industry best practice
  • Strong demonstrated experience providing strategic P&C advice to senior leaders
  • High-level abilities in written and verbal communication, relationship building and stakeholder influence
  • Resilience and adaptability, with the ability to lead through complexity and ambiguity (and coach others to do the same)
  • You are a strategic thinker and problem solver with abilities to interpret data to inform decisions and identify opportunities
  • Strong experience in workforce planning, organisational design or leading people-related change or transformation initiatives
