Salary starting from $159,800 super inclusive (dependent upon experience)

About You:

We can’t wait for you to join our team and share your experience as Database & Analytics Lead and bring your skills and experience to the team. You will bring your ability to provide exceptional problem solving skills, strategic and technical thinking coupled with organisational skills and experience in managing stakeholder expectations.

From a practical perspective your skills and experience might include:

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
• 10+ years’ experience leading within data, database and/or analytical functions.
• 10+ years’ experience working with SQL Server.
• Experience of bringing change and driving value from new technology investments.
• Previous hands on experience with data and relevant tools.
• Solid experience managing complex and diverse data related teams.
• Experience planning and administering Power BI and Snowflake Platforms.

Key to your success will be your:

• High degree of acumen and familiarity with relevant data and analytics technology and toolsets

• Ability to identify new areas and opportunities to work with stakeholders to improve database and analytic outcomes.
• Ability to convey complex topics to all audiences.
• Ability to deliver on a strategic roadmap of data and analytics initiatives.

About the role:

As Database & Analytics Lead you will lead and mentor the Database & Analytics team to develop capability and embed best practice and strive to increase data maturity across the business. You will also be supporting the delivery and management of customer expectations and competing demands to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. You will have the opportunity to co-design and deliver the future direction of Hydro’s IT strategy shaping the overall function. A critical key aspect of this role is to lead the strategic and operational planning for our data management practices, focusing on meeting business needs and requirements through data functions.
